Levine's Drycleaning

Great price and location, but they damaged some pants and would not offer any compensation or even discuss that they did it.

Was looking up their phone number and saw a few sub par review so I thought I would give my 2 cents. I have had my share of bad drycleaners in Portland over the past 20 years, but Levine's has been stellar. For the past 10 + years I have given them my clothes every 2 weeks. Over that time, I have never had a lost item, improperly cleaned garment, or items not done on time. Trust me, I give them some nice things too. Last seasons Prada shirt that is made out of a space age material only a real pro would know how to clean. Hugo boss suits. Jil Sander pants. I could go on and on. Never a problem. They also are VERY FAST. Yes, the floor looks like they are afraid of vacuums, and their "free candy" jar looks like it would be a great depository for the H1N1 virus, but who cares. I trust them every time!

I live in the neighborhood and have several options for dry cleaning and I have to say Levine's on Burnside is the WORST dry cleaners EVER!! I have given them a couple chances and on my third try I finally have decided to never go back. I would not recommend this dry cleaners to anyone. \t\nOn my first visit they did not properly dry clean a high end garment leaving me no choice but leave it to be re-cleaned. This pushed back my pick time to the same day as when I needed the item. \t\nThe second time they made errors on both of the items I brought in. On the first shirt they did not properly press a simple dress shirt, completely creasing the collar. It was completely noticeable and they did not catch it. For the second item they mistakenly washed it instead of dry cleaning, as I had requested. I only found this out because they had forgot to dry the item and it was still wet !! I did not receive any apology or refund for the mistakes, instead they just said they would dry clean it again. \t\nMy third and final attempt was similar to they second mistake. I asked for two dress shirts to be pressed. About two minutes later I looked at my pick up ticket it said "laundry." So I called and they said that they were gonna wash it in order for the shirtts to be pressed. I reached my boiling point . I explained that I would pick up the shirts "as is", and would not like them to do anything. When I went to pick up my shirts I tried explaining that I would have rather dry cleaned the cotton dress shirts so that the quality of the material would not be affected or shrink. I tried to suggest to manager (or whoever the older guy with the glasses) that they explain how they treat things, he just got offended and did not bother to rectify the situation.\t\nI will never go back and rather give my business to many of the other NW dry cleaners that care about quality and customer service. Anyone who uses them is taking a huge risk, good luck to you.
