About Lewiston, ME
Maine's largest city (behind Portland), Lewiston sits alongside its neighbor city Auburn in a former industrial area on the banks of the Androscoggin River. The location is roughly halfway between the state's lush mountain country and its enchanting coastline. Lewiston and Auburn, sometimes collectively and colloquially known as L-A, lie north of Portland on the coast and southwest of the state's capital, Augusta.
