Franklin is a historic city in Williamson County, Tennessee, and is just 20 miles south of Nashville. Franklin is the perfect blend of the old and the new, with a historical legacy that goes back to the Civil War, plantation living, and the famous Battle of Franklin. Some of the best places to visit when in Franklin are, The Carter House, built in 1830 by Fountain Branch Carter. It is a registered historical landmark, where one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War was fought on November 30, 1864. The Factory, is a popular 12 building dining, retail and entertainment complex that has taken Franklin by storm, and is only 6 blocks from historic downtown.
