I had been a regular with Dr. Law for 1.5 years and I got pregnant (i'm 34). Dr. Law's approach to me getting pregnant was very systematic and he as As my pregnancy progressed I did research online with reputable sources (ACOG, Texas dept. of Health, Federal Dept. of Health and Human services, World Health organization, etc...). started asking him questions to understand his philosophy on areas such as induction of labor, clear fluid drinking during labor, % of c-sections, % of episiotomies, to know what could i expect during labor. Unfortunately, the Dr. questioned my wanting to know and lost his patience because I wanted to discuss these topics at 6 months. All empirical evidence shows that the single biggest factor that influences whether a woman will be induced (which makes contractions stronger and the need for pain relief more acute) and the likelihood of a c-section is the choice of healthcare provider and their philosophy on the matter. As an example, all my friends that have delivered with him got episiotomies. They were fine, but the ACOG discourages it's routine use. At 6 months I'm starting the search for another provider to deliver my baby.
