Best Salad Bar and Desserts

I love the salad bar they have, everything there is so fresh and tasteful. I love their desserts as well. Really nice birthday cakes and minitiature cookies.

Lousy Service @ new Danville / Blackhawk Store ---- Won't Accept AMEX

What a letdown! Anticipating the new Draegers to arrive in in Oct '07, we get to the checkout counter, slide the American Express Card through the scanner and it tells you in large letters: NOT AUTHORIZED!!\t\n\t\n"Oh, we don't accept AMEX" says the clerk as she points to a sign / message written on the counter. I have a two person barber I go to that accepts AMEX. Outside Stockton on Hwy 88, a small family-run fruit / vegetable stand (Louie's Frutta) accepts AMEX.\t\n\t\nManagement says it is too expensive. Hmmm . Walking the aisle today, I notice 5 oz of salad dressing for $7.95. They boast of their 3500 bottle inventory of wines .... I walked one whole aisle today and didn't spot a bottle for less than $37.00. ..... but AMEX is too expensive!!!\t\n\t\nThis store is in a department store building in a center that has been a retail graveyard for 15+ years ... Draegers tries to reconfigure a department store into a grocery store .... didn't succeed with the 43,000 sq ft. Unfortunately they're located to the popular and more handy Danville Safeway 150 yeards away just across the boulevard. Just opened is the 60,000 sq foot Daugherty Valley Safeway just 2.5 miles away ....and that is an absolute delight...... and they accept AMEX !!\t\n\t\nDraegers: WAKE UP!\t\n\t\n

Expensive, but good selection

I stop by Draeger's when I am looking for something in particular that is expensive. I don't always find it, but I do find some good things. They are a full grocer, with a cooking school and gourmet restaurant upstairs, as well as cookbook...
