Craftmatic Adjustable Beds

After owning my craftmatic king size bed for 4 years it is kaput. The motors went out on both beds, one is stuck at a slight raised level at the head and the other is stuck with the feet up a little and the head at full rise. The only thing that actually works in the vibrator system on my husbands side. The local telephone number given on my sales papers is no longer in use, and the country wide 800 number is also out of service. The Craftmatic company has apparently been purchased by another company, but I cannot find details. $6000 for a bed for 4 years is laughable. The sad thing is that the bed was really good for my back. Oh, well, another 6K down the drain. Any one got any ideas?

We bought a king size bed 8 years ago. What we received were two twin beds. Within 8 weeks of our purchase we tried to send it back, but Craftmatic NEVER returned our calls. The heaters in both beds died the first year. Now, only 1 controller works. We can't keep a bottom sheet on the bed, they just pop off.

But the worst problem is this bed has eliminated any intimate relationship we once had. When you roll to the middle to 'share', the matresses slide of the bed. If you stay on the bedboards, they fly apart and we both end up on the floor. It was funny the first time, but when I dislocated my hip the second time, it stopped being funny.

The bunk boards are falling apart and both beds feel tilted so we feel like we are always falling out. I am constantly having to get out of bed and push the matress back up where it belongs. The end bar on my husband's bed is bent and won't go back.

I was told there was a lifetime warranty on these beds. Who do I talk too.
