This little bistro/restaurant has all the charm in the world. The decore is early California with a fabulous alfresco garden done in a authentic Provencal style. This place is relaxed and the staff is very friendly and accomodating. You can spend the whole afternoon having lunch and no-one will rush you. This restaurant also features wine tasting flights from the next door winery. Georis winery is a small local producer and the presentation and tastings are nicely presented with tasting notes. One of the fabulous features of the neighboring properties are the fabulous gardens with fountains and little coble stone paths that take you through the different areas with hanging grape arbors. I was first introduced to this little jewel by RACHEL RAY on $40 a day. She was right on target with this place.\t\nThe menu is diverse, great vallue !! I had the Halibut Tostata, it was superb, my husband had the pasta of the day, linguini with seafood, he loved it with the Georis Sauvignon Blanc. A must if you are in the area. Check out their web sights.\t\nGreat for kids but you have to keep on eye on them because of the fountain areas. If you have a dog , he will be happy here.\t\ncorkscrewcafe\t\ngeoriswine

The food is excellent, but the hostess / waitress was shockingly rude, so much so that by the end of our lunch we were looking at each other in disbelief. The Corkscrew used to be a favorite of ours, until we took out of town visitors, thinking they would enjoy it also. We were very embarrassed and disappointed by the way we were treated there. Never again. Don't waste your time or your money at The Corkscrew. \t\n\t\nBy the way - we are surprised they can get anyone to work there, we also overheard her berating the kitchen staff. Very unpleasant experience.
