Coastal Carolina Hospital

Don't go here unless you have lots of money to pay them how they want to be paid. This is the only hospital I have ever known that will not accept what a patient can pay. My spouse had been out of work for over 8 months and we were barely scraping by. When I tried to set up payment arangements, the billing department was not at all willing to work with me. They will only accept payment based on TENET's policies. I will never ever use this hospital again. Everyone thought this would be great to have a hospital closer to Ridgeland and Hardeeville again...but this place is no better than getting a band-aid from any joe blow off the street. I have been told that the only reason an ambulance stops here is to get fuel...now that is terrible and that comment came from an employee. If their own employees wouldn't go there for care, then who would??? PATIENTS BEWARE!!!!! ESPECIALLY LOW INCOME PATIENTS!!!!
