I wished I learned it in coaching school

I went to the coaching school in NYC called Coaching for Transformation taught by Richard Michaels and sponsored by the Open Center. If you are serious about becoming a great coach. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS SCHOOL! They charge way more than the online coaching schools and the teachers are not very good. In addition, they plagarized their content from a book! I do not recommend this school. You are better off to take one of the online schools.

I started my own coaching business after having gone to a coaching school. I felt confident that I was ready to coach. Then I realized I was stuck. I didn't really know how to get started. My coaching school taught me how to be a good coach but not how to get clients.
Coaching is a business first shocked me into realizing I can't just be a coach I have to be a business person. And through the guided steps and coaching sessions I have learned the way to make my business successful.

Too often I see coaches come out of coaching schools, with great coaching skills but no business skills. Same thing with entrepreneurs. They are good at what they do, what there business is, but they do not have the knowledge and skill set to grow their business. This is both sad and scary.
