Dear Dr. Charters, I was a patient in San Diego, Ca. I had malignant melanoma on my left thigh, Dr David Duffy sent me to you. thank you for saving my life. I had/have 8 children, now am 75, with 17 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren. I looked for you over the years, and finally found you. I just wanted to thank you and am so happy you have had such a great career and a nice life. On another note, when I was in Puerto Rico, my daughter, Victoria, was in a very bad accident and was taken to Kaiser Hospital where she lay bleeding internally for hours while they searched for her parents, my son came home, told them he was her guardian,and had her transferred to your hospital where the emergency room Dr. called you and you did a spleendectomy on her extended belly, then sent her to orthopedic surgery for the bone sticking out of her leg. When my son reached me in the A.M., I asked who was the surgeon(she was in surgery at the time). My son said a Dr. Charters or something like that... I said 'she will be fine" He is the greatest. She was and has two children, one in college now. May God Bless you now and always.
