Aliquippa Driver & Vehicle Svc

I purchased a new motorcycle out of state in August 08. The paperwork was sent to Prestige notary and received by the manager or so she said, on 9/22/08 at 12:48 PM according to DHL. I was notified today 10/27/08, that I had to bring my motorcycle to this company so that they could verify the VIN. When I asked the manager when she received the paperwork she said today. Well its 39 degrees now, it will be sleeting for the next couple of days and I've put my bike away for the winter already. When I asked if I could bring a digital photo of the VIN sticker and the odometer, Ms. Parrish informed that it WAS STATE LAW that I had to bring it to the location or have a STATE Licensed mechanic verify the information on the title. The PennDOT internet page clearly states that a reasonable facsimile, to include a photograph, was all that was required, she said that was wrong and then hung up on me. When I spoke to PennDOT, a very nice and professional person, she indicated that this notary was incorrect. I then returned the call and asked the manager to explain why she lied about receiving the paperwork and misinformed me regarding state requirements, she yelled, that the person I spoke with was nothing more than a CONTRACTOR and slammed the phone again. Regardless, I contacted the person handling the title work at the dealership and she will request that the paperwork be returned and will resend it for finalization to Mesko Notary right up the road. Rude, indignant, liars, Prestige Notary is truly an oxymoron, the worst that BeaverCounty has to offer and as a notary, represents this great state poorly. In the meantime, my temporary has expired, I have no registration and no inspection because this notary was sitting on the paperwork. I would avoid these people at all cost.
