About Ocala, FL
One of the great small cities in Central Florida, Ocala is on the edge of a national forest and is an easy drive from the Gulf of Mexico beaches in the Cedar Key and Fort Myers area. Ocala also boasts lakes and spring-fed streams for recreation as well as an abundance of thoroughbred horse farms, which encourages riding activities. It lies along Interstate 75 some 80 miles from the Walt Disney World Resort.
