About Hammond, WI
Hammond is a town in the heart of St. Croix County. Since the town is only thirty minutes away from Minneapolis/St. Paul across the border, more than 8.000 area residents commute there for work. Students attend St. Croix County Public Schools. The city is located along the St. Croix River, designated by Congress as a protected scenic riverway. Dramatic limestone and sandstone bluffs line the river. Seasonal events take place at nearby Carr Creek Ranch. The county was named for French explorer St. Croix.
