WOW!! This is NOT the place to buy carpet. ALL Carpets at Dalton Carpet Outlet are NOT installed free like they advertise on TV . BUYER BEWARE, They are CROOKS!!! - At least the salesman & installer of D.C.O. @ Appleton West. This is my review & I won?t mention names, you know who you are and so does my Bank Headquarters and several other places I contacted. They used the bait and switch deal. I paid for carpet off the roll and ended up with a remnant with 2 seams. The 2 seams are in the most traveled traffic area, right where I said not to have a seam. The room isn't quite 13 x 14, but I was charged for 219 sq ft. They over charged me 37 sq ft of pad & carpet. The salesman called during the time the carpet was being installed and insisted on being paid for the rest of the balance in full & I did using my dedit card. After installer finished the carpet (never asked me to take a look @ the carpet and now I know why) he said "your carpet is done & I need $125. I told him I just paid the salesman on the phone. He wanted me to call the salesman, so I did. The salesman said, you only paid for the carpet, you have to pay him for the installation. I told him I just paid the remaining balance in full. We argued back & forth & got nowhere. I told him my husband would call later. In the meanwhile someone from Dalton Carpet Outlet took out $125 with my debit. They had NO PERMISSION. So, if you don't want someone taking money out of your account without authorization, being over charged on carpet & pad or a poor installation. I was shopping for an expensive piece of cleaning equipment locally (Rotary Drimaster) and all my local suppliers were quoting me full retail. Antique wool rugs are fragile so gentleness and care should be taken when trying to keep them clean. They do get dirty from time to time but they cannot be cleaned like most rugs.
