23d & Cherry Fellowship Hall

1.0

By Westwood Healing Arts at Citysearch

I have been sober for a decade and a half, I've read the Big Book of AA countless times and worked the steps. And I say that Cherry Fellowship is full of Christian Evangelists who throw the principles of AA under the bus and insist that everyone who isn't claiming Jesus is an atheist.. This is not AA but church. AA is founded firmly on the principle that everyone can get sober with a god of their own understanding. AA works for this pagan polytheist, but Cherry Fellowship Hall is an insult and an affront to Bill W and Bob and all their work. ...read more

Immanuel Lutheran Church

5.0

By WJH at Citysearch

A friend recommended we visit Immanuel Lutheran in South Lake Union 3 years ago. We liked everything about the church; the worship style, the sermon, the music, the education program, the people and the neighborhood services they provide through Immanuel Community Services (a food bank, recovery program, hygiene program and community lunch.) The congregation welcomes all and there is a nice diversity of people. The facility is almost 100 years old and looks like it was plucked right out of the Midwest. But the people are definitely Seattleites. We have since joined and have found the worship experience and spiritual growth that eluded us for many years. ...read more

Immanuel Lutheran Church

At first i was skeptical wether this church is a real "immanuel" but after I've seen how this church care to the very least amongst the South Lake Union community, I'm convinced that I belong here.\t\n\t\nI joined and actively engaged with the food bank every two last Fridays of each month. I saw that the neighborhood is changing, but the spirit of the church remain the same... to serve when others can only judge. ...read more

Pastor Joel preaches from the Heart the Word of God-- Not what I wanted to hear , but what I needed to Hear -Especially after being out of Church for Years !!--He reminds us that our Personal Opinion must be in Line with the Word of God IF We Expect to receive the Blessings of and from God--Pastor uses the Old King James 1611 Bible--the Bible which our Forefathers Believed In, Under- Stood , and Founded this nation Upon in Principles and in Precepts-Something That I Believe We Need to get back to If we are to remain a Nation that Honors God First.!!-(Isaiah Chapter 6 Verses 5-8 ) --Glenn ...read more

They teach the gospel - the whole gospel. They aren't afraid to tell the truth...straight from the word. Very accurate! I can trust what I learn at this church. I don't have to second-guess if my preacher is sticking to Biblical principles. Pastor and his family are so wonderful, and I am very blessed to have found this church family! Favorite thing: We go out and witness on a regular basis to the lost! I love Open Door! ...read more

ODBC, is awesome.. I've had my life changed at this church. I've been attending this church for about 6 year's and for about 5 years faithful. The Preaching is Bible filled, and life changing. \t\nThe people of the Church care, deeply for others, and show it. One things I've noticed about ODBC, they care about the Lost (the unsaved), and because of that burden God has blessed in amazing ways "With seeing people saved weekly, and even daily. Praise the Lord for what he's done in this place you should come check it out. ...read more

Freedom Church of Seattle

By Igor Kaliberda

Hello Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ! My Name is Igor Kaliberda. I am 37 years old and I want to be useful for Gods Kingdom and for you. Recently my wife and I moved to Kent WA from our previous position as a missionary family to Istanbul, Turkey. I came to the Lord in 1991, and in 1994 left my job in dentistry for ministry sake. God called me to be a pastor since 1995, and I have been always in this job for last 15 years slightly changing specialization and developing more in direction of mission work. Seven years as the pastor of the Nazareth Church in a little town in Ukraine, three more years as a senior pastor over the area, plus work in a mega-church mission department in Kiev, and for last six years as pastor-missioner in Istanbul, Turkey. During the period of ministry I worked under different denominations, as a result, I understand and respect all born again, loving God Christians. Do you have any work in Church for me to support my family and serve God? Thanks ...read more
