This year has been interesting for most businesses and ours is no different. We have been "out of the loop" with the things that promote our business due to medical issues with one of our staff members. As we are family first and a business second we have shifted our priorities to be able to take care of what needs to be done. The business suffers for this of course, but family must come first as that is the basis of our business. When Ohana comes first all else will fall into place at the right time. People, in general, fear what they don't understand. Energy healing falls into the "Um...I don't know what that is...so I think I'll pass" category. The biggest reason is lack of understanding of what it is, what is does, and how it works. Unfortunately, like every profession, there are the unsavory characters that are only interested in how much money they can squeeze out of some unsuspecting patsy. This makes it difficult for people who genuinely want to know more about it and for the people who are genuinely trying to help. Here's an effort to help - for free. I first want to talk about what energy is. The human body generates an electromagnetic field. That is fact. Our body is able to move because our brain sends electrical impulses down the nervous system in our spinal column that tells the muscles to relax or contract. We are conductors of energy which is why we stay inside during electrical storms because we make awesome lightening rods. Having said that we each have our own individual fields, now let's take it a step further. Because we each have our own, we can share energy with eachother. If you think I'm kidding, think about these situations: Have you ever felt like someone was staring at you and you look around and lo and behold there was someone staring at you? That person stretched their energy field to nudge your field and you felt it. if you don't think it can happen, try it. Pick a total stranger, and stare at them, make sure you're not going to get beat up for it, and see how long it takes. If that person is not doing anything like talking to someone, they will feel the hit on their field and turn toward you, it will take only about 30 seconds or less and no, it doesn't matter how far away you are. Have you ever walked in after two people have been in a fight? They are not saying anything, they are behaving as if nothing happened, but you KNOW that something is wrong? You are feeling the residual energy of the fight. Most people call it "feeling tension." How are "feeling" that? Your energy field of course. How about when a kid falls down and starts crying. The parent runs over there and picks the kid up, comforts them and they stop crying. It's a combination of physical comfort and energetic protection. Little energy field being put inside bigger energy field. We change how our energy field responds to the world with our thoughts, our emotions, and most importantly, our intentions. The three situations above show how it works. As as such we are all healers as our fields have the ability to communicate for us as well as defend, and protect us and those we love.
