A Child's Place

As the previous reviewers stated, this facility has gone down hill. My children had been there for a while but not any longer. Unfortunately, the direction is lacking. The teachers had been allowed to practice discipline in any way they saw fit including denying birthday cupcakes and having children sit inside while watching the others play outside. The teachers are often not warm to parents or children. And there is a complete lack of communication from the directors to the parents. The projects have consisted of scribbling on a piece of paper. They do not foster creativity or imagination. It saddens me that it the facility has gone this direction and that I can not recommend it. ...read more

DREADFUL! I sent my oldest from age 2 to pre-k and was happy. Then they changed leadership & things steadily & quickly went downhill. I pulled my 2 children out after repeated attempts at working with the directors & the corp office to get them to see the major issues they have in their school. A group of parents confronted the leaders w/ the same issues but we were ignored. They gave my breast milk to another baby and my baby got someone else's once too. Their reaction when they told me was as if I shouldn't be upset. The preschool room, led by Amanda, is frighteningly terrible & the directors refuse to do anything about it. Amanda is an awful person who will treat your children terribly. You ...read more

this used to be a wonderful loving school with a huge playground and fun activities. They still have the playground and some of the activities, but the love is gone. A lot of the teachers are cold and seem to be irritated that they are there. Management appears concerned with issues when first brought up, but there is no follow through or follow up. Communication is lacking in all areas. Management also seems to be annoyed when you ask for information. At one point a mother was even told 'why does everyone need to know' when asking who would be filling in while the teacher was on maternity leave. Unfortunately the lack of liking kids also makes my child unsafe there. My child appears to be un supervised while playing. He has come home recently with major scrapes and bruises, but the teachers have absolutely no idea how that happened. My currently enrolled child will be pulled out as soon as an opening comes at a new school, my upcoming children will not be enrolled here. And several other families have taken the same steps. Hopefully they will start listening to some of the complaints so that they can get back to the wonderful school they once were. ...read more
