Joe & Mike repaired a hole in our ceiling where another repair man had stepped through it (I wish I had been using them, then I wouldn't have had a hole in my ceiling!) and some places where the sheetrock was cracked. We have painted acoustic on the ceilings and I was just sick over this because I knew it would never look right. These guys are miracle workers. Our ceiling looks great! I don't think anyone that came in looking for the repaired area would be able to find it. My husband use to do remodeling and is quite picky. They pleased him and that's saying a lot. Their prices are reasonable and they are very efficcient. Also, I was very comfortable having them in my home; I haven't been able to say that about very many repair people. When they left everything was fixed excellently and our house was left nice and clean. They even repaired my front door when they discovered it wouldn't stay closed at no additional cost. J&L did not show up on time to a 4 hour window for an estimate. J&L's charges that were "non-covered" thru AHS were over twice as much as others. Once I informed him of these ridiculous charges and what others were charging, he cut his price drastically . AHS only pays Jim such a small portion to make repairs he tries to nickel and dime you to make more money. J&L did not keep their appointment when the time came for the repairs. Jim stated this was due to wrong parts being order (quick to point the blame to AHS). Rescheduled 5 days later. Jim's tech shows up to make the repairs demanding full payment up front before any work is done. Jim tells me that AHS should have informed me of his policy. (Jims answer was always, "you need to call AHS"). I refused and needless to say he left me high and dry. Jim also stated it was because of the number of times he has been burned in the past. Now I know why he has so much trouble collecting payment. Jim has no customer service. DO NOT USE J&L. ...read more
