By Joy Lutheran Church

We truly appreciate Hector and the friendly atmosphere of the Postal Annex. We have a P.O. box for the church and mail packages from this location. On a personal note I purchased several comical magnets to mail to family out of state during the holidays. ...read more

AAA Movers

--In sum, for the amount of money I paid for this move, I was severely disappointed with the quality of service. There are numerous moving companies in the area and I am sure they couldn’t do a worse job. I spoke with David the next day over the phone to share my thoughts and I will say that he listened, but basically told me that he had been doing this his whole life and has a great reputation. I would say that at this point David and his company are only surviving on reputation alone, that their current work product. I was given an hour credit and did night fight the bill as much as I should have, but I write this so that others don’t make my mistake. Finally, if one of my employees displayed the attitude towards our customers that David displayed upon arrival at my house to take the place of his employee who quit, my employee would no longer be working for me. ...read more

I have never used a moving company, but the one time i did i went with AAA and will never do it again. I had a BBQ pit damaged and the delivers tried to hide it from us and act like it never happened. Then when i talked to head guy a few days later he said I didn't have insurance for the move which was never even offered to me over the phone. I received no compensation for my brand new BBQ pit being damaged and felt like they did not even care for the mishap. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone. ...read more

The Dreaded Three-Foot Drop Test

Many of our customers pack their own items to save money. But packing breakable items should be done correctly. Make sure you use bubble wrap and foam peanuts to protect fragile items, and use enough peanuts to keep the items in place and not move around. Clothes or towels are not considered appropriate packing material for protecting fragile items. Improper packing can lead to a damage claim being denied. How do you know if your item was packaged correctly?Answer this question:Can your box take a 3-foot drop without the contents breaking? As you pack your fragile and delicate items, remember that UPS and FedEx require fragile or delicate packageditems to withstand a 3-foot fall without getting damaged.Your box will be handled by a group of workers handling tens of thousands of packages of all sizes.Through the course of a shipment, each box will likely be dropped at least once.Double-boxing delicate items is common-practice among professional shippers. Remember: When shipping fragile or delicate items, take time to package the items appropriately.Use a strong box and make sure you use enough bubble wrap and peanuts.Even if you purchase additional insurance through UPS or FedEx,skimping on packaging material can lead to any damage claim being denied. ...read more

Who's Better? UPS or FedEx?

We get this question a lot: "Who's better? UPS or FedEx?" Well, depending on the customer, "better" can mean several things. For some customers, "better" means "faster", as in "Who can get it there faster?" For other customers, "better" means "more careful", as in "Who will take care of my valuables better?" And still for others, "better" means "cheaper", as in "Which one costs less to get it there?" For each of these questions, there is a completely different response, and it often requires an involved explanation based on our experience in dealing with the shippers. At Postal Annex, we offer both UPS and FedEx services, giving our customers more options and the ability to select a shipper based on your idea of what "better" means to you. Visit us soon, we'll be happy to share our advice and experience with you. ...read more
