Didn't want to give it 1 star, this is the only business I know of that gives you no notice of cutting your water off, they just do it! And for those of us who do work and don't get home till after 5 pm you then get charged another fee for after hours of having it turned back on. The electric company at least gives you one last chance but not LMUD! That is sorry just ripping people off is all they are doing. Granted my fault for being late but at least gives us one last chance as I am sure there are others that feel the same way. I agree witht the others it is so inconvenient to have to go in to pay your bills and set your account. Update the system like Entergy and Time Warner. Who actually gets off in time to make it in there by five. ...read more

I can't even give this establishment 1 Star. What a backwards organization this is. I bought a home in Lumberton, moving from Las Vegas, Nv. and I can't even get the utility district to turn on my water without my coming into the office in person to pay the deposit. It's rather difficult from 1600 miles away. They don't have any kind of bill pay, draft or credit card services. I'm not impressed with this company and don't see that changing in the near future. I did not have any problems with any of the other utility services, they just bill me for the deposits and turn on fees, but not the water district. They definetly need to update their system..........................and hire some people with some compassion and personality. ...read more
