Get in shape for the summer! Try something new and exciting!

If you are looking to get in shape this summer try something new.  Try not to go back to your usual routine of walking, running, and going to the gym.  You know you have always wanted to try a Martial Arts Class of some type like kickboxing or grappling.   Why not make this summer the time, your time.  The nice thing about the martial arts is that it will get you in shape and at the same time teach you a valuable skill of defending yourself and or your family.  Keep in mind that the martial arts is an individual sport.  You don't have to keep up with anyone but yourself.  It is self paced but also has the incentive of an instructor to give you that extra push. Too many people feel that before they can get into a martial arts class they have to get into shape first.  This is not the case.  It is the class that will help get you into shape and challenge you to set goals for yourself.  Learn how to use your knees and elbows in muay thai boxing.  Learn how to combine devastating kicks with punches in kickboxing from a style developed by Bruce Lee called Jeet Kune Do.  Study the Art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or ground fighting.  Teach yourself coordination and self defense through Filipino Kali.  Then mix it all together in Mixed Martial Arts.  So come on, what are you waiting for, the summer is coming fast!   If you still need more incentive to get you started.  The Parra Academy is offering 50% off for the month of June.
