There are 2 or 3 decent people left there but for the most part, they are awful. I spend alot of money there every year. $3000+ at least every year and had a guy in plumbing take a repair kit for a shower out of my hand while I was looking at it. It was in a non sealed box and I just wanted to see if the screw holwes were c ompatible with Moen. He took it out of my hand and closed the box, like I was a 10 year old. Told me they could 'let' me look in the box or they couldn't sell the product. He had told me the wrong part twice and I didn't want to have to come back again. His statement a total lie. Also while one lady at returns is great, a couple of the others act like it is coming out of their paychecks and give you the 3rd degree over a $10 product. They use to be about customer services and now are just rude,lazy people that try to tell you what you want when they haven't a clue. They act like experts and then sell you the wrong peoducts and then act like you are at fault when you have to return it. I recently had the sad occasion to order flowers for a funeral. Distraught, the folks at Lenox Village were so compassionate and helpful. The Owner and designer made made a sad situation very easy for me, they even provided bouteneers for the pall bearers at no additional charge. Talk about a small business that goes above and beyond! The gates rarely work, the water goes out frequently, the pool has a dirt ring, and the office staff does not return phone calls. My friend had painted his walls before his neighbors water heater burst. The apartment charged him for replacing the carpet after the paint ran. I have known Kathy Harriman (owner) for over a year now, and David Batson (manager/designer) for over a year and a half. And during that time, I have visited their place of business on many occasions. I have seen the floral arrangements that are created there and they are simply.....AMAZING! Though the shop is smaller than most, you get your BANG for your Buck there. They continue to crank out some of the most beautiful floral pieces I've ever seen! I had a recent opportunity to help them out over the Valentine's Day Weekend! WOW!!! What a Production Event that was! I not only had the pleasure of creating some of the spectacular arrangements that went out, but had the honor to work alongside two very dedicated and talented individuals, (Kathy and David), and their staff. I have never witnessed such a vast variety of floral work produced in a three-day period. They worked with customers to accommodate their individual requests and make that day EXTRA-Special for their respective Someone Special. It was all hard work and everyone did their part. In the past they were friendly and courteous. Now a new young guy works there, has a punk attitude, and gives you a third degree line of questioning when you make a return. For the past 10 years, I typically ordered my flowers through FTD. They've never steered me wrong and their florist network always did a good job. Recently, I ordered from FTD two times for my girlfriend's birthday and this weekend's Valentine's Day. I had both orders shipped to her work. When I order via FTD, I always opt for the ""Best"" arrangement which adds several stems of flowers. You get an option of ""Normal"", ""Better"", ""Best"". The picture differences on FTD's website is supposed to give you an idea of what you pay for. My girlfriend always sends me pictures of the flowers I send her. For her birthday, the arrangement she received seemed nothing like the picture I got her. She had more stems than the default selection, but less than the ""Better"" arrangement. Letting it slide, I decided to order her flowers for Valentine's Day. The flowers she received today were awful. The flowers were fresh, but she only got 1/2 a handful of them... if even that. She was supposed to get at least 4-5 roses in addition to the other types but only got 3 roses with sparse dashes of other flowers. Needless to say, I called FTD. FTD normally does not give you the names of their affiliate florists because they want to deal with them directly. However, I somehow got FTD to spit it out and found out they were Lenox Village Flowers. Now I understand that all national network chains (FTD, Teleflora, 1-800-Flowers, etc) take a big chunk out of the profits that local florists make, but this is no excuse. You do not charge me $74.99 + $15.99 handling and then give me a product that does not meet the standards set by your network. The CSR for FTD had both myself and the florist on other lines and the florist offered to pick them up and send her another arrangement. I told the CSR that this was ridiculous because obviously it's less than 1 hour until my girlfriend comes home. So then FTD offered a $20 credit and 10% off my next order, but I didn't want that either. I just wanted to get the difference of what I paid and what was received. She was able to do that for me. Needless to say, this is the first time I got burned on my flower ordering experience. FTD explained that the florist affiliate they choose is based on location. I simply replied that when I had flowers shipped to her residence in the past, they were more than exceptional. I said I'd still order from FTD but I will never have flowers delivered to my girlfriend's work ever again because Lenox Village, the FTD affiliate for that area, skimps out on their arrangements. ...read more

While exiting the new Home Depot on Joyce Lane, I heard frantic dog barking and saw that a little jack russel was jumping at the closed truck window. It was a very hot day so I went to ask if someone could call over the intercom to have the owner open the window. The staff agreed, and the license # was called out. Moments later, an irate man came to the counter and threatened me. Instantly, other staff members gathered to my assistance and made sure I got to my car safely, after the man stormed out.
