I had just checked out a furniture store three doors down from Rent-A-Center and had a horrible experience to where I literally walked around for ten minutes without being helped so I walked out. I needed a full kid's bedroom set with possibly a table and chairs for my dining room so I was looking, and willing, to spend a lot of cash that day. I walked out of that store and went to Rent-A-Center where I was greated as soon as I walked into the door by at least two men there. I have to say I was extremely impressed with the customer service of the entire store and they went out of their way to help me and answer any of my questions. If you are in need of an appraisal or if this company has been assigned by a mortgage lender, run don't walk to have another company sent. The appraiser appointed himself as a building inspector rather than a real estate professional. Not only was i given a list of required repairs (which included a hairline crack in a plaster wall in a 60 year old home) but he noted a "swale" in the roof which he wanted a letter from a state of Tennessee certified roofing contractor stating it was safe. We have purchased four items from this store, and they have had excellant customer service. We have NEVER had a bad a bad experience. They always go out of their way to make sure that there is no problems or issues, and that you are happy with the product. They are also knowledgeable about the products that they carry.
