I started my process of divorce looking for a good lawyer because people told me that a lawyer was REQUIRED. Obviously lizzi law is the most affordable. I thought that any lawyer would do the same job. I was wrong, and if you believe the same do not make the same mistake. I paid my $1200 and they told me everything was fine and that they would start working on my case. They asked for an agreement between the two of us, so we made one. 5 months later they told me that the court was in3 months.. (8 months ok) however; I was happy that my divorce was ready. the court day was only to legalize the agreement already notarized between my ex and I. so I ask the lawyer about the date of my divorce and he replied that I HAD TO PAY $600 MORE. Areas of Study to Become a Criminal Defense Lawyer

If you plan on joining the ranks of South Carolina criminal defense lawyers, you need the proper education and preparation. This requires commitment and hard work. Your first step is to obtain an undergraduate degree. You may be inclined to major in criminal justice, but you are actually better off getting a degree in a non-law related field, because it makes you a more interesting candidate for a law program. Below are the additional steps you should take if you wish to study criminal laws: Law school: You must seek admission into law school. You should research schools in the region where you plan on practicing law. Also, you should try and choose a school that has a good reputation. Visit the American Bar Association website to view a list of accredited schools. Criminal law classes: The best Charleston lawyers have a thorough knowledge of all areas of criminal law. In order to become well educated in the field you should sign up for as many criminal law related classes as possible. Classes in criminal procedure are especially important, because they focus on the constitutional issues that often arise with most criminal cases. Law clinics: You can gain valuable experience by participating in a law school clinic program. Here you have the opportunity to work with other attorneys and possibly appear in court. Clerk position: A good way to bolster your resume is to apply for a clerk position at a court system, office of a prosecutor, or office of a judge. In addition to gaining experience with the criminal justice system, you may also be able to secure employment through the connections you make as a clerk. Learn to adapt Lastly, you must realize that Aiken criminal defense lawyers are in a state of constant learning. You must be ready to research and understand new laws and changes to existing laws. No matter how experienced a criminal attorney is, he or she must be prepared to adapt to the ever-changing criminal justice system. Contact us to discuss your legal needs ...read more
