I would like to share the nightmare that I experienced in dealing with CARL RUTH. I was charged over $4000 dollars to rebuild a1989 jeep wrangler engine. The engine had to be taken back to CARL RUTH after install, due to it had 2 stuck lifters and had a VERY loud tapping noise. The vehicle was returned and the engine had a hole on the cylinder head, that had been covered with epoxy and painted over in black. I would advice any person that is planing on having CARL RUTH work on your vehicle, think about it very hard, the service that you will receive after you pay is horrible. If you are looking for a show quality or like new from the dealer paint job forget Maaco of Reading. Not all Maaco locations are bad but at this Maaco you get a paint job that looks good from a distance but up close has dirt, dust and hair in the paint. Not pretty but it's my daily driver and i didn't get the cheapest paint. I went for the Maaco Supreme paint job and thought for $450. I would get a decent paint job. Not! Also this location doesn't accept credit cards and never has according to Athan the owner. Make sure you have Cash if you are brave enough to come here or really don't care too much about your car.
