Regarding the disgruntled patient who referred to Dr. von Rago as a “liar” in the “MEPS” disability and fitness for duty evaluation: the doctor regrets that the evaluation did not work out for you. The doctor’s role is to offer his best opinion in someone with potential disability as to their ability to handle the extreme stress and rigor of active combat duty. My husband and I have been going to ICP for several years. The Doctors are caring and very knowledgeable. They will go to the hospital to see you. The technicians are also very good. HOWEVER if the doctor instructs the desk staff to get you referred to a specialist or for additional tests to be done they tend to forget to call for you. My husband was supposed to go to Tristan for a veinus dopler in his leg. The staff was supposed to call and get it set up. We waited several hours. I was concerned so I asked him to call Tristan, He did and they said they never got the referral. They (Tristan) called ICP and immediately called him back with a time to come in. It turned out that he had a blood clot and was told to go immediately to the hospital. If we waited for them to call it may have been too late. This is not the first time this has happened. This happened again when they were supposed to refer him to a specialist. He waited a whole week for them to call but they never did. This also happened to me three or more times in the past.
