Not worth going back. Food was only so-so. Nothing at all worth noting, but not terrible. Waiter was nice, but completely overshadowed by the arrogant, rude chef. I am in the wine industry, and will not recommend, nor be back to this establishment. ...read more

My family visited Cuve'e on a recent Friday evening. We were promptly, but informally showed to our table and waited a few minutes for our menus, water and bread while the sole waiter attended to the 6-8 other tables. He was the only waiter we saw the entire evening, which made the service slower that it could have been. For appetizers we had the Huitres and Mousse de Foie de Poulet, both of which were very tasty. The dinner entrees were a different matter. My wife and father-in-law both ordered the Cassolet d'Agneau and commented that it was very dry and rather bland. Another member of our party ordered the Buffalo Bifteck avec Pommes Frites. She mentioned that the Frites were great, but that the Bifteck was a little tough and not very tasty. I ordered B?uf bourguignon, which was on special. It was tasty, but the beef was a little dry and the broth was rather greasy. All of this could have been because of an off night in the kitchen. As we finished our meals, however, the chef silently approached our table and stood there for a minute staring at two of our half-finished plates before asking if everything was okay. Trying to be polite, we all said it was good, but that we were full. He stood in silence for another minute, asked again and then quietly walked off. I am all for a chef checking with his/her guests, but only if it is done in a manner that doesn't make the guests feel guilty for being full and polite!!! The truth is is that there are better French restaurants in the region... ...read more

The wait staff is friendly and helpful on the menu selection. A nic European style atmosphere without being over the top but still eligant. The Chef / Owner Gilbert comes out and talks to you to make sure you enjoyed your dinner. Nice selection of foods on the menu with a good wine selection to back it up. His nightly specials are great and it is nice to see local wines on the menu besides imports. The chocolate mousse is the best around I've ever had, creme brulee is wonderful too. ...read more

How Do Restaurants Make Enchiladas?

Many people think that an enchilada in a restaurant is much better than anything they can ever find at home, unless they know a lot of Hispanic people.
