HI, I am writing in response to the above reviews. I am so very sorry to see these postings online. I assure you that we help hundreds and hundreds of families nationwide every week and have so many amazing experiences to share with our families and the event comments made below were not as they were reported. The first posting by "anonymous" has valid record in our system. And the second situation has been helped to the fullest ability. I am the owner and founder and as a mother of young children myself I would never provide a service that I couldn't stand behind. I am also a licensed private investigator and assure you that our service provides the safest option for your family's sittings needs. We go over and beyond an online check and our in-house private investigators do a hands-on investigation of every family and every sitter accepted into our referral service program. If you have questions about our service please call us directly or visit www.seekingsitters.com. Thank you for seeking information about our service. To any parent looking to use SeekingSitters in Tulsa and elsewhere: Last night we had a 2 hour event where we hired seeking sitters for childcare. There were two children (well behaved children, I might add) that were being watched by the young lady that they had sent. Apparently during the middle of the event, the sitter just walked out on us and the children were left alone. My wife and I did not find this out until after the event was over. Needless to say, we were more than angry at the situation. The children could have easy went outside by themselves, into the street, or anything else for that matter. What would have happened if one of them was seriously injured and the sitter had left? I'm sure SeekingSitters wouldn't want that kind of liability on their hands. While I could go on and on about the situation, I do understand that while they are responsible, they ultimately do not have any control over the person that they send out. With that being said, I think they have failed to properly train their employees about the responsibilities they have when watching children, how to properly handle situations, or even to contact their offices if there is an issue. Furthermore, I think (if they don't already do this) they should perform a "drop-in" on their employees. If you are considering using SeekingSitters, I hope you think twice before doing so. I would hate for something like this to happen to you that could potentially put your children in jeopardy. If you have used SeekingSitters, I urge you to simply call them and request more frequent "checks" on the girls they send out as sitters. Always ask for references that you may contact about the sitter they are sending out. Or better yet, if you have friends that have been using them for a while, get a recommendation from them. For me, I'm staying away from SeekingSitters! ...read more
