When we contacted Eastons Marine they assured us that in order to keep our warranty valid we'd have to have a dealer do the winterization. So of course we took our boat in for winterization which itself cost us $250+, then they called and asked to take our boat to the lake to see why the motor wouldn't turn off as it should and being that it needed to be fixed and warranty would cover it we agreed they could take it. After checking to see what was wrong with the boat they said we have to let it idol for a bit before it'll shut off (knowing this before they took it) and charged us $90 to take it to the lake and tell us what they already knew. After getting a $398 bill I called Norris Marine in Norman to verify what Eastons had told us. Come to find out you DON'T have to have a dealer winterize to keep warranty valid. You can do it yourself for 1/4 of Eastons cost. What it comes down to is we'll NEVER take our boat back to Eastons. ...read more
