If you want a contractor that wants to do it his way at the expense of the homeowner we’ll here is your guy. Over budget very quickly. Once I called him out on it his comments were that this and that weren’t figured in and material costs were going up due to spike in building in the area. The plans I gave him he used as a slight reference and I do mean slight. He increased the pitch of the roof rather than paying attention to the plans causing my cost to skyrocket. Communication is horrible and I had to catch the framers to fix things in the house that needed to be fixed. This was our first home build and it’s turning out nothing like we had planned it to be. What a joke and hiring this guy was the worst mistake I’ve ever made in the process of building a home. The best decision was to fire him before he collected all of his extremely high contractor fee. Don't let this home town smooth talking country boy fool you. He will tell you nobody can beat his prices, but once he starts the project your budget goes out the door! He could care less if he goes YOUR budget. Most projects he builds he goes over by at least 30K+. He starts out great, but once you get past the framing and the house is dried in, good luck trying to get him to finish the job. Everyone in town knows he is a joke.
