This Company is a scam, we took our vehicle there because it was having transmission issues, they said they rebuilt the transmission and it is still having the same issues, Now they are saying that it needs a pcm. I have asked for a week for a detailed invoice to be faxed to me Since I am a business and magically they can not find one We do not have a copy because we payed over the phone. Their towing service is phenomenal! Always prompt, courteous, professional, and they send out the nicest guy. They're there to actually help you solve the problem, not just show up and tow your car leaving you stranded and frustrated. So nice for a change! They're willing to do the little extras that so many other companies jump on the chance to charge for. L&M is the best!! I know that if you are not in there area of service they will come out and tow you,you will have to pay the tow and then send it to your auto carrier and they will reinburse you!! If they were so bad as this guy says they wouldn't have been in business for 40 years!! ...read more

Now retired, and living in GA ,I have dealt extensively with Lester Mayer's L & M company for nearly 40 years now for all my personal vehicles as well cars used for my commercial driving school. Recently, needing specialized automotive advice, I checked the internet for their phone #, and noticed an unfair negative review based on a single phone call and unrelated frustration with a FORD dealer's rental policy. Terrible!!!! Our 1 year old Ford Edge broke down so we called Roadside assistance, They contacted L and M Towing to pick up our car. 30 minutes into our wait with our 3 year old we got notice the shop it was going to couldnt get us a rental so we had to change the destination, it was in Avon Lake in stead of Elyria, they cancelled stating it was saturday they didnt want to come out and if we didnt like it go smewhere else! Wow so much for 24 hour towing and they were contracted by Ford and we were approved by them to go to Avon Lake!! They were very rude on the phone!!
