There seems to be a lot of confusion about our name.  "Elegant" is often equated with "expensive" and who wants to go to an expensive dentist?  We (Dave and I) named our practice the same way new parents name their children.  We were excited, proud, hopeful for the future.  We envisioned a warm, inviting practice where friends often stop in to say "Hello".  We had personally experienced so many custom service blunders that the term has become a joke to us.  We decided to do our part to stop that cycle.  How do we do that?  Well, it all starts by listening.  Every patient comes in wanting something different.  Our job is to figure out what they want and give it to them.  Dentistry is an interesting field.  Rarely do people enjoy going to the dentist.  Most often it is something that is put off and/or neglected.  We understand that.  We're not going to yell at you for not flossing or for missing your 6 month visit.  We're not going to give you a hard time if you don't follow through with recommended treatment and end up with a toothache.  We'll take care of you - that's what we do.  We listen and we take care of people. Dave Wiedie is a great dentist - the best, in my opinion.  (and I've worked for a lot - but only married one!)  He is very well trained but more importantly he cares.  He cares passionately about things I don't understand.  He talks about the degree of difficulty in removing ALL the decay present, or how perfectly margins must fit together.  That's what he calls "elegant" dentistry - doing itrightso the dentistry not only looks good but it feels good and it lasts a long time.  So that's why we are elegant.  We listen, we care and we do high quality dentistry.  We don't take ourselves too seriously.  There's enough of that in the world.  We relax, joke and have fun.  We tell stories about our kids, listen to your stories and simply  enjoy one another.  Isn't that what life is all about - our experiences along the way.  We want your dental experience to be just that - one more positive experience in your life.
