This store is a total trip! and absolutely unique in our experience. Yes, there is food -- so beautifully arranged it's like viewing art -- and there are So many different choices from countries around the world that it's amazing and even a bit overwhelming. The first time we came here, we just walked around in a daze because there are so many different things -- all fun and unique -- to take in...from such a broad range of selections for anything that you just don't know what to try, to the entertaining decor (like NO other place we have ever seen!!), to -- everything! Even when your children are with you, shopping is painless because they're as entertained as you are mesmerized! GO!!!! ...read more

I shop at Jungle Jim's about 3-5 times a week. I am never disappointed with the produce or meat, and the sheer availability of diverse food has greatly increased my enjoyment of cooking. Because I am a regular shopper, I have noticed that there seems to be a very high staff-retention, which shows that it isn't just a great place to shop, but a great place to work for. In my experience, the staff in each department is usually well-suited for and knowledgable about their areas, and always helpful with any questions I may have. Also, Jungle Jim's has spoiled me - there is never a long wait when checking out and my kids love going!! If you haven't been to Jungle Jim's, check it out!!! You will not be disappointed. ...read more

I started shopping at Jungle Jims nearly 25 years ago and its been exciting to watch the Jungle grow into what it is today. Back in the early 1980s, the store could be described as a great produce stand with a good deli and wine shop; and the only place to go for asian food items like bok choy, lemon grass, fresh ginger, bulk rice, etc.--that today we take for granted because they can be found in most any grocery store. My daughter, who was only a few years old, loved to stop and listen to the singing Elvis gorilla. Since that time, Jungles has added food sections for almost every ethnic group, expanded its deli counter to possibly the size of the original store to include a vast selection of gourmet cheeses, meats, olive bar and bakery. The wine department is now almost a store in itself. If you cannot find what you need, just let someone know, and they will make sure to get it for you on your next stop. Also, you can't beat Jungle's prices for gourmet food items--I've been to many gourmet shops and the Jungle beats everyone's prices. Although I live in Chicago now and have the opportunity to shop at many great ethnic groceries, I still stop by Jungles anytime I am in Cincinnati. ...read more

we just moved to cincinnati a month ago and came across jungle jims by accident looking for a kroger at first we were not sure what it was, we thought it was some sort of amusement park! but once we went inside we loved it. I have 3 children and i NEVER take them grocery shopping with me because they get bored and complain but i have taken them with me every time i have been to jungle jims and they love it. i usually let them pick out a small sample bag of jelly belly jelly beans from back by the bakery on our way out and they love to get to choose form like 50 flavors of jelly beans. my kids also really enjoy feedign the ducks on the way out. i enjoy getting a starbucks frappachino and walking around getting all my grocerys i dont find them any more expensive than kroger. my kids have talked about jungle jims so much my family cannot wait until they can visit and see jungle jims for themselves........ ...read more

If I'm looking for exotic foods, this is the place I go. However, I never shop for staple foods nor ""American"" foods. It's too expensive and the store is set up very user unfriendly. Perishables would perish before I'd leave the Jungle. ...read more

Going to Jungle Jim's was truly an experience. The building really grabs your attention. There is some kind of light-rail contraption outside that is reminiscent of Disney's monorail (just not working). The comparison continues inside the way it is divided into different ""countries"", much like Epcot. There are various animatronic animals singing throughout the store much like the It's a Small World ride.\t\n\t\nThe selection of beer, wine, cigars, and food is absoltely mind-boggling. It is worth the trip! ...read more
