We were not from the area, and had an event that we were tasked to provide flowers for. We found Bloomtastic from a google search and decided to go with them based on the initial phone conversation. We have been completely dissappointed by the level of service and professionalism of this business. They were suppose to deliver to us a $250 size bouquet of flowers that needed to sit on top of a pillar about 2 feet off the ground as we thoroughly explained to them, that it must not be top heavy in order to stay up. Well, not only did they deliver a bouquet that was top heavy, it wouldn't even stand up on it's own sitting on the floor. We knew there was a problem when they delivered it an hour early so that we were not available to view it first and then they just ran off without a word. When I tried to call them 10 minutes later, to have someone fix it, the recorded message informed me that they had closed early for the day (@3PM instead of 5PM). They never returned any of our calls. So I stopped by into their store a day later and they acted as if it was my fault and were not sorry, or offered any reparations, at all for nearly destroying our important event. Do yourself a favor and do not use Bloomtastic Florists for important event you have planned. They could care less about your event, they only care about your money!! ...read more

12/23/2013 I use local florist to send to relatives who live in the Columbus, Ohio region. I currently live in Pennsylvania. My sister was having an important dinner party, I order a beautiful centerpiece that was on the Bloomtastic web site. I contacted the owners several time about this order. Much to my dismay the centerpiece arrived and looked nothing like the one online. I was very disappointment. When I corresponded with them about it. a woman named Heather said the following; "Unfortunately miniature carnations, which is what is in the image on the website, were not available so we had to use full size carnations (there are multiple to a stem on the mini-carnations but only one on the full size) and the gold faux berries are sold out so we used red. ." .....and no gold ornaments either? ...read more

I told her I would go else where and she slammed the book in my face and jumped up went to the back and started slamming doors. I couldn't believe how she acted. Rees provided the flowers for my wedding on August 31, 2012. I was absolutely delighted with the beauty of the pink and white Gerber daisy bridal party bouquets. I was equally impressed with the center pieces, which consisted of gerber daisy blooms floating in glass bowls of water. The flowers were extraordinarily fresh, outlasting every online prediction for the life of these flowers-- they stayed gorgeous for over a week. The guests at the wedding were very complimentary of the flowers. I'll never forget having my bridal bouquet handed to me before the ceremony-- I couldn't stop smiling while I was looking at them! They are my new favorite flower! Mr. Rees is very professional and helpful, and very attentive to every detail and concern. Wanted to use Blooms Direct for our wedding flowers. We met with the wedding coordinator and liked her idea, but in order to receive a proposal with a price estimate, you have to pay a non-refundable $100. Weird. This is not the norm. We went ahead and paid it with the promise of a proposal in a week. Long story short, two months later we still did not have a proposal. They said the lady we met with was in the hospital, but only told me this after I went into the store to inquire about our proposal; no one was going to tell us to expect a long delay in receiving the proposal. Funny thing was, apparently they don't have another person in the place who can put together a proposal, but they had someone to take the check to the bank... The whole situation just seemed strange and like something was off. I would say that they were very good about giving us our non-refundable deposit back. We have since moved on to somewhere else, but if you want to use Blooms Direct, I would flat out say no to the $100 deposit and stay on top of communication with them. ...read more

WOW! What a great place. It is located in the heart of German Village and has wonderful flower arrangements that they make up fresh everyday while you wait. Their flowers seem to last forever too. I didn't even want to give this company 1 star but apparently I have to so that I can share my review..\t\n\t\nAs many times as I have experience indecent service in any type of business, I have NEVER taken the time to write a review for a company. Until now. The service is absolutely awful at Fifth Avenue Floral Co. \t\n\t\nMy fiance is deployed overseas and he placed an order with this company online for flowers to be delivered to me on Valentine's Day. He placed the order 2 WEEKS before Valentine's Day and he received a confirmation email with an order ID number and payment confirmation along with a description of the products ordered. When the 14th came around, I had no idea I was even supposed to be receiving anything. He then asked me that night "did you get the flowers I sent you?" Naturally, I was confused because I hadn't received anything. Since he was deployed, he couldn't call the company to ask what had happened and when I did, the shop was closed. \t\n\t\nThe next day, I called the shop and asked to speak to the manager on duty. She was extremely rude and not helpful whatsoever. She even had the audacity to blame my fiance for not calling to place the order for such a busy day!!! HE'S DEPLOYED! Absolutely heartless. She made up some story to try to cover the butts and I didn't buy it. She asked if I still wanted the flowers, but they wouldn't get to me for 3 days and she still wanted to charge my fiance!! No way!! I told her I would gladly take my business elsewhere, and for a company that "prides themselves on their outstanding service" they did a horrible job. I'm now seeing that I'm not the only one that has had terrible service with this company.
