Severance is a tiny hamlet of the town of Schroon located in the Adirondack Park in New York. The hamlet consists of several clusters of rental houses. The area around Severance is known for the numerous outdoor activities at Lake Schroon. In the summer tourist enjoy swimming, boating and fishing on the lake. The winter months bring about snowmobiling and ice fishing. The spring and fall are popular times for hunting and hiking.
