I took 2 brand new aluminum wheels and tires for them to mount and balance and specifically told the manager to be very careful and not to scratch the wheels. When I cam back to pick them up, one of them had a 3" long gauge (deeper than a scratch) in the middle of the face! no where near any surface that the tire mounting machine would touch, almost like it was done on purpose! I pointed out the gauge to the manger and he said as he walked away " these tires are hard to mount on these wheels"? these are meesley 16" factory aluminum wheels, I would understand if the wheels were 20" wheels with low profile tires.
