I have no idea whether the instructors for this company are any good, but this is the kind of customer service you can expect from the Big Red Bell Driving School. I called to set up an appointment for a particular time. I live in a house with its own driveway, so I waited in the house for someone to ring the doorbell, while I got chores done around the house. By 15 minutes after the person was supposed to show up, I left a message on their voicemail (no one ever answered the telephone directly when I called) expressing my frustration with the no-show. I got an angry message later in the day saying that the person came to my house and waited outside for 20 minutes and then left. This may or may not be true, because the driver did nothing to signal to me that he was there. I called and left a message saying that if the person came, then he should have knocked on the door or called with a cellphone, given that I was at home WAITING the whole time and an additional hour after that. He called back and started yelling at me that he told me when we set up the appointment that no one would come to the door, which he certainly did not tell me. He yelled that they never leave the car and that they don't carry cellphones and that as far as he's concerned, I owe him $50. I responded that I do not owe him $50, and I began to explain that it was perfectly reasonable for me to expect the driver to make some attempt to let me know he was out there, especially given that there is a driveway with no cars in it right next to the house. The guy on the phone never let me explain though, because he started yelling again and saying that I have a "problem" and that I can call another driving school.
