The Bassett House is a lovely, quaint and charming inn. When I first arrived the electic feel of the place made me think of my grandmother's home. Comfy sofas with plush pillows, a variety of knick knacks lining the bookcases, vintage pictures along with hard wood floors and area rugs made me feel totally at home. I just wanted to curl up on the sofa with a good book. The proprietor, Michael Bassett goes out of his way to make certain that your stay is pleasant and comfortable. The true Hampton experience only comes when you choose an inn that will make you believe that you are at home. Roomy and historic, the Bassett House Inn will make you feel as if you have lived in the Hamptons after a relaxing stay. All was beyond expectation from the first step over threshold into the warm and welcoming parlor, to the country breakfast, and finally, the comfortable room where peace and quite allowed for a restful sleep.
