As a consumer I always try to get a few estimates before making a decision on a home improvement or any big ticket item I may buy. Also I always try to deal locally. Tilt In Windows came out for a free estimate on Windows and siding and the time I spent with the sales person was no pressure and very informative. They weren't the lowest estimate but neither the highest. So I went with my gut and hired them to do all my Windows and complete siding The installers were curteous and clean and did a wonderful job. I have been getting such compliments in my house and it just verifies my choice in using the guys at Tilt-In Windows. I also had a minor issue with a window and within a few days of my call, the service manager Rick came by to address it and assured me that if any other problems occur that they will be right out to fix it. The service from Wellman Fencing and particularly from Dan W. was great. I had wanted to replace my old, rotted wood fence in my backyard for awhile. I looked on Angie's List and found five companies to come out and give me an estimate. At first, Dan's estimate was not the lowest, but very close. The main reason why I decided to go with him was because he seemed the most honest. I am in the hills and part of my fence was attached to a makeshift retaining wall. Dan was the only one of the fence companies that told me I needed to replace part of the wall or he would not do the work. He said that he could certainly put the fence up but, if the wall was not repaired first, the fence would not last beyond a few years. He gave me the name of a company who could do the repairs but stressed that I could call any company and get it done. He was not trying to push any particular company on me. None of the other fence companies mentioned the need to replace the wall. After more research and contacting some companies to repair the wall, I'm glad I decided to get it done because the wall was certainly failing. In addition to Dan’s honesty, he was very attentive to all my concerns and made sure the work to replace the fence was done to my satisfaction. Dan takes great pride in his work. It's been several years since I've written a review for something. I'm just really picky and know the difference between quality and junk. I had my whole yard fenced in by these guys and I am more than happy. Dan came to my house to look at my yard and sat down with me and presented himself and what he had to offer so confidently and professionally. He had a binder full of fence styles, colors, locks, caps for the posts & even pictures from all previous jobs to show me consistency, I guess... I was so impressed that I hired him to do my fence without even calling anyone else. I am a 77 year old Grandmother with a very low income, just making it by. My husband recently passed, and doing things around the home is becoming more and more complicated. For certain reasons, a fence became a huge issue that needed to be done. I had several fence companies over to look at what needed to be done, and give a price to do it. I called Wellman Fencing and a young man named Dan, along with his fiancé (who also works with him) came over. We talked for what seemed like hours. I have never in my life seen someone with such a passion for their profession. He was a sweetheart, completely patient with all my questions and explained very thoroughly to me what was needed, what needed to be done and how much it would be. He had a much lower price than 2 of the companies, and lower than the third as well. The experience I had with them was priceless and worth all the money in the world.
