I'm just another past-president of a Reform synagogue and want to say that Rabbi Zlotowitz is the smartest, warmest and the finest man I ever met. He was my motivation to accept different positions on my temple board. When we had regional and bi-ennial conventions, his programs were always standing room only. Upon his retirement from being the director of the NYFRS on a very rainy Sunday afternoon in Manhattan, the standing room only crowd heard someone say that if we in Judaism had sainthood, Bernie would have been Saint Bernard....wish I said that.
