I've lived in Philadelphia for more than five years. The best thing about Philadelphia is The people are very friendly and helpful. Philadelphia is also very livable. The rent is cheap, it is not too big so it is easy to get around with public transportation or by bike. There is tons of free parking in the residential areas although in South Philly it can get a bit crazy with all of the double and triple parking. Philadelphia is close to the shore and mountains. Philadelphia also has excellent museums, bars and the food is excellent. Best Things to See in Philadelphia: Philadelphia Zoo (Not just about animals! Victorian-style train, a balloon ride that towers 400 feet above the city, and swan boat rides) The Philadelphia Art Museum is the nation's oldest art museum and contains a world-class collection of fine art featuring distinctive pieces from Asia, the European Renaissance, Impressionists, and many more Reading Terminal Market: The nation's oldest market opened in 1892. The Liberty Bell stands as the international symbol of freedom Philadelphia is a great place for Great place for all ages. Wonderful restaurants, arts, culture, parks. Walking city. Beautifull suburbs. There are fun places to go nearby, like Bucks County, the Brandywine Valley of Delaware, and New York City is a 90-minute train ride away.
