While shopping with my friends at Peppermint Forest, I asked to speak to the manager since mulitple staff members were unable to locate the 20 items their computer indicated were in stock. The manager came over and stated "I had an attitude and could leave." All of my friends were amazed because none of us had an attitude. We were simply trying to confirm where the items were to purchase. I also had a Dept 56 church with me but she would not sell me anything. What a wonderful place! I've known about it for a few years, but this is my first visit. Just sooo many treasures! Absolutely wonderful array of Seagrove Pottery. Every piece is beautiful. Quilting fabric, vintage salt and pepper shakers, vintage aprons and tablecloths, jewelry, all kinds of speciality sauces and dips, candies galore--oh so good (actual little old fashioned candy store). owners like to hide defects on their expensive furniture w/the amateur use of mismatched Sharpees--"fixes" my three year old would do. Inspect closely (ask them to bring it outside) because once it gets into your light-filled house--and you're unhappy with the merchandise--it becomes your problem. the worst customer service and attitude I have any experienced. ...read more
