If you would like to close on your house in a timely manner, I suggest you find another broker. We were first told that we would be able to close by the end of the month, and now, 2 1/2 months later, we have still not closed. If you are looking for someone who will communicate with you and keep you in the loop, again, find another mortgage broker. Carmen would not return our phone calls in a timely matter and would only respond to our emails late at night. Everyday she needed something new. As someone who does this for a living, she should have known upfront exactly what documents, signatures, etc were needed and when. She acted like she had no idea what we we need to get to the bank and when and always seemed surprised when they requested something else. She is nice person, but not very professional or competent in my opionion. I feel like had we gone with a different broker or bank we would be in our house already. What a wonderful place. You are tucked back away from all of the rush and hoo haa of a busy town. What a wonderful place for the elderly after a life of devotion and dedication. There is no other place in Mount Airy quite so nice and quaint. And you are convenient too! With the mall and restaurants and doctors offices within walking distance! WoW! I can't believe such a place exists! Can't wait till I reach the minimum age 62. This has got to be the best low-income housing I have ever seen. ...read more
