Mast General Store

You must not be from the South. The idea for this store is that it brings back wonderful memories and the way a variety of merchandise was sold in the very early years of the American South. It is a place to visit on a warm Sunday afternoon and browse to your heart's content. No one in the store pushes you to make a purchase anything. If it entices you then buy it, if not keep your money. People today are so busy, families all go in different directions and you have NO MEMORIES to warm your heart as your children grow and leave home. I could go on and on about why Lucky Penny is the best place in Boone to go shopping. \t\n\t\nIf you are in need of a new top, dress, shoes, necklace,.. you name it, go here! \t\n\t\nThis is THE place to shop if you are a fashionista that lives in the area. \t\n\t\n100% Unique.\t\n\t\nI used to go to Lucky Penny a couple times a week until I moved to another city. Watsonatta Western World

I have vistied this store SEVERAL times over the years, and have had a good experience everytime. \t\n\t\nThe owners have ALWAYS been really kind, and they seem like genuinely good people. I don't believe that the "male owner", Darrel Watson, would EVER be rude to his customers, unless of course, the customer was rude themselves. \t\n\t\nNo one MAKES another person work. Its the employees choice to stay there, IF that situation is really true. Which I'm pretty sure its not.\t\n\t\nThe store is definatley the best western apparel store in this area, and in my opinion its the best I've experienced from Boone, NC all the way to Texas!\t\n\t\nAs far as someone adjusting Darrles attitude, if he really had one, it would take a giant of a man! ...read more
