ASHEVILLE — A woman who faces six counts of embezzlement has been the target of four complaints with the N.C. Real Estate Commission this year.Jennie Goodson Wilkes, 37, of Canton, worked as a local property manager and operated WNC Rental Referrals. She voluntarily and permanently surrendered her license last month, according to the state Real Estate Commission. One of the investigations is still open.Wilkes was entrusted to receive money for the complainants but misapplied or converted it to her own use, according to arrest warrants. Most of the complainants were not in-state residents, and none was local. I am a real estate agent in another state so I know when an agent is doing a good job and Jennie is fabulous! She had our rental property before I thought it was even ready to be shown. But since I am not there she was able to monitor the progress and know when it could be shown. She brought in a lot of traffic and leased it without any problem. I would highly recommend her! ...read more

I am sure you will agree with me that people that go to college to get their Bachelor's degree study hard and work hard. So why is that when it comes to working from home and people say they want to make over $5,000 a month, they will not put in the time and effort to learn how to do so. Can you make over $5,000 per month working from home? Absolutely!!! Now the question I ask you, "Are you self disciplined and self motivated to learn how to do so?" If yes, and you are looking for an awesome company and leader to partner up with me, give me a call or email me. How do I find a place to stay in Asheville? Does location matter?

Find the complete blog at www.askashevillenccabins.blogspot.com, 800-859-7079 This the first in a series of educational articles on finding vacation cabins, locations, maps, restaurant reviews, and the list goes on. This series is compiled from real questions  that tourists ask, and true stories.   www.carolinamountainrental.com can write this series because it has passed the 10 years mark for being in business in the greater asheville area. In the 10+ years the occupancy has been solid and consistent. The standard has remained impeccable which allowed the  98% guest approval rating to stand firm the entire time in business. This is a must read blog because after you read the easy direction information you will not get lost again trying to figure out how to drive from highway to highway. ...read more

Asheville Cabins Disappearing? Why?

Why are Asheville Cabins Disappearing? 828-230-6613 Facts- 1. Asheville is growing rapidly. 2. Hotels are popping up everywhere. 3. Tourism has been the number one business in the mountains for decades. So you would think that the vacation rental business would be a hot item. Well ,it is! It is so hot that the big guys have moved in and are still building hotels. That is a good sign, not bad. Every child grows up. Zoning has existed in the city, limits, which  has made it impossible to rent vacation homes or cabins short term for  at least 10 years, it just was not strictly enforced, until recently. Then more growth came to the sleepy town.  It happened, the county zoning changed May 2006, which eliminated cabin rentals in the counties close-in to Asheville. What does this mean for the consumer? Always check the location of a rental on a map before booking.http://www.carolinamountainrental.com/has provided affordable cabins for 10 years, for small family groups ranging from two to ten people, and still do.As I said before, rules and regulations are not bad. The good part is cabins that have the zoning to offer accommodations will all be following the same list of rules that were actually put in place to help the tourist have a good experience. The consumer should ask what the zoning of the cabin is that they are renting in Asheville. If someone is renting without the proper legal right to do so, they do not necessarily follow safety rules or acquire the proper insurance that is specifically required for vacation property that will protect guests. I have spoken to several people that advertise on by owner rental sites that are operating without the legal eagles' blessing.  "So what".  you say, maybe you will get a deal". Not really. What if the tourist puts a deposit on a Tunnel Rd cottage  then the owner gets caught. When the tourist comes to see the leaves change and the locks are changed, how does he get his money back from a cottage that wasn't legal in the first place?
