I'm trying to get back into salsa so I went here for the $35 2 hour salsa boot camp and hated it! I didn't like the instructor at all! Basically she was one of those overly enthusiastic tarts that has a permanent fake smile plastered on all the time and the super happy voice. There also seemed to be more effort place on being silly than teaching the class. To give you more of an idea of her personality, she is one of those people that ends sentences with "YAY!" and actually says "OMG" out loud. Super annoying! If I get the impression that the instructor isn't taking the class seriously then neither am I. The worst part was that she made me feel like the only person in the class of about 15-20 people and that's not in the good personal one-on-one kind of attention either. There's a correct way of correcting someone if they're messing up and that is to go over to them and show them one on one what they're doing wrong and how to do it right. What she did was constantly call my name out and basically announce that I was messing up and show me how to do the moves from across the room. I was also the only person who received this kind of treatment. Basically I was singled out. I also didn't like the structure of the class. What's really the point of teaching the guys the lady's moves? Why not have the lady instructors teach the ladies and and male instructors teach the guys? I don't need to know the lady's shines and footwork. You have about 4 instructors there so you're not making good use of your resources. Separate the guys and ladies for the different footwork then partner back up again to put it all together. The value of $35 for a two hour class isn't very good either. You can learn more moves for free from YouTube videos and at your own pace (highly recommend the YouTube series "Addicted2Salsa" and "Salsa with Silvia") The problem with that for me is finding a partner and the space to do it. If the whole point of calling me out in front of the entire class was to make sure I never return again then it worked. You got my $35 and that's all you're gonna get out of me with the exception of this review being put on as many review sites as possible. ...read more

Andre's; Banquet Facilities

I come from a big family and my sister decided that she wanted to go somewhere different than the rest of our sibilings for her wedding reception. When we walked into Andre's West, are jaws just dropped. It was absolutely gorgeous, we couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out. My sister used Andre's 'One Stop Shop' and was extremely satisfied. The grooms men loved how they could just leave the tuxes and didn't have to make any additional trips to drop off their tuxes. She said that her planner was helpful and was willing to work with them to help plan the night of their dreams. I would highly recommend using Andre's for any event that you may be planning. The employees are extremely friendly and the facilities are AMAZING!!!! We will definitely be using them in the future for our anniversary parites and to do catering for our holiday parties. ...read more
