Once again this person Paul Ricci of Safeguard in Raytown insists on placing erroneous remarks about me online because I put a negative review about the business on CitySearch and several other locations online. Today 7-12-2011 I noticed he said some negative things about me and also placed my home address on it which, in itself, is unethical for being in the business that he's supposed to be in. He does NOT know the business and did a terrible job of bidding and had no idea on how to map out how to place surveillance cameras where they should be at a location for me.. If you want a REAL PRO just call Kevin at Scharig Alarms at 816.564.0835 and you will get the very best service and materials and fast at the right price. As of August 1, 2010, Modern Fire Safety, LLC is owned and operated by Gunter Pest Management. Modern Fire began as Modern Supply and was founded in 1947 by Buck Cramer. Buck bought a commercial building at 1001 Cleveland in Kansas City and started inspecting and maintaining Fire Extinguishers, as well as Commercial Kitchen fire suppression systems (mostly Ansul). In the mid 1980s, Buck passed away and the helm was passed on to Buck's wife, Nancy. Nancy continued the great service and tradition that Buck started until 2010. Looking to retire, Nancy sought out a strong service-oriented Kansas City business to continue providing Modern clients with the best possible service. Gunter Pest Management entered the picture and acquired all the assets, as well as all the long-term employees of Modern. The name was changed slightly to Modern Fire Safety, LLC to better reflect the entire fire protection service. Gunter was founded in 1950 by L.R. Gunter and is currently owned by Gunter's Grandson, Jay Gunter Besheer. Gunter currently has over 60,000 clients in the greater Kansas City and Lawrence markets. By acquiring Modern Fire Safety, Gunter will be able to provide fire protection services to all their commercial accounts.
