About Wadena, MN
Wadena is a city in Otter Tail and Wadena counties in Minnesota and it is northwest of the Minneapolis – Saint Paul metro area. The population was 4,294 at the 2000 census. On June 17, 2010, a tornado caused major destruction through the town. Most of the trees were destroyed, homes were damaged, and the Community Center was demolished. Major attractions include Wadena Golf Club or fishing or camping at a nearby lake or park. Each year in the summer season there is the Wadena County Fair. Among the companies in Wadena are many FM and AM radio stations and a newspaper.
