Twin Cities Rod & Custom

If you need it, Twin Cities Rod and Custom has it! I have been buying from Courtney since my first build – three builds ago. He always knows what I need and if he doesn’t have it in stock, usually he has it to me within a couple of days. If I have problems on the install, he’s even closed down the store, drove out to my place and help me troubleshoot. Can’t beat that! ...read more

There is no better place to buy your parts than TCRC! FAST SHIPPING, competitive prices and Courtney can give you tech support like you wouldn’t believe. The store is very cool and reminiscent of an old speed shop with a lot of local memorabilia. TCRC is a huge supporter of Minnesota car clubs, not only do their sponsor clubs from around the state but I’ve been on many cruises and different club events that either had a stop at TCRC or TCRC offered up their location for a meeting place. Also if you have been in their store you know that they support a lot of local kid events - it’s a great small and local business that works hard to keep our industry alive and thriving. I’ve bought from Courtney for years and will continue to as long as I build cars. Wouldn’t buy from anyone else. ...read more

Welcome to our blog!

I am such a novice here in cyberspace....however, I am making my first attempt at a blog for all of you!  The restaurant is flourishing these days (most of you know, my fiance, Jeremy =and soon to be husband=3 more weeks! bought the Rainbow less than 6 months ago). A little history, for those of you that aren't as familiar - the historic Rainbow Cafe has been here, in the same beautiful brownstone since 1942.  Jeremy  and I fell in love the minute we walked in the front door one January afternoon.  I could already picture our children behind the counter, telling the locals the story of how their parents met - 2 local chefs met working for sister restaurants -the (former) Broadstreet and City Cafes.  How our passion for all things food brought us    (complete opposties) together.  Even with an upcoming wedding, it was a challenge we were ready to take on with everything we've got. We have experienced great response, even in our infancy, we feel so blessed.  Our locals are wonderfully supportive and we have been drawing a large Rochester (and even Minneapolis) crowd, not to mention the travelers...I love the Saturday afternoons when I get to chat about travels with the cyclists coming from the Douglas Trail, as well as those who have just discovered us out on a drive through this beautifully historic town, Pine Island, which we now call home. I'm having so much fun playing with the wine and beer lists, too!  This is one of my passions (as well as my pastries, as always, I make them from scratch every morning - gosh, the ice cream has been a bigger hit than I could have possibly imagined).  I do nightly specials on bottles, as well as pairings with some of Jeremy's wonderful entrees.  I invite you to check out our menu - I think most would be pleasantly surprised, by quality, as well as price.  And just wait until we get some of the new beer I am playing with now.  A wonderfully dark porter with my fabulous flourless chocolate torte is sure to win anyone's heart! We have a great staff, whom I will introduce in one of my next journeys here.  Until then, thank you for your support! ...read more

Thank you all for the positive reviews!

It's great to know that you are getting great meals, however, Kathy is no longer the chef here(since March, 2008).  Our chef (and co-owner), Jeremy Olson has been hard at work the last 5 months....those of you that have eaten here know - from his soups he makes from scratch every morning to his amazing dinner entrees....it's apparent his classic training at Le Cordon Bleu as well as his internship in France has paid off.  He is truely an asset to us as well as our community - we have had so much positive feedback and want to thank you all for your support! ...read more
