Here are some of our observations on therecovery of the burned media, and the data recovery process. The temperature needed to cause such effects as the film is at least 1350 F. Our company had such orders as well as contact with little burneddisks- damaged at temperatures much lower than the temperature of the burning car. What happens when the disk is subjected to high temperatures?The most obvious signs that the burning of any labels or stickers, flow with electronic circuits with PCB disk, burn the plastic. Drive PCB Connector with its interior is plastic - it also is burned, leaving the sediment in the interior of the disk. The motor drive is usually baked, but the greatest damage done to the temperature acting on the same platter hard drive.
